Responsibilities of the Primary Care Physician

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background

• Minimum qualification of MBBS or MBChB.
• Completion of NYSC with 2-3 years of post-service experience in comprehensive primary care.

Clinical Expertise

• Proven experience in developing clinical or scientific research to guide treatment decisions.
• Ability to recognize symptoms and signs of various illnesses and injuries, order appropriate tests, and prescribe effective treatments.
• Knowledge of proper patient note documentation formats.

Communication Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, explaining complex medical information in an understandable manner.

Location and Availability

• Candidates must reside in the Abuja area.
• Availability to work 8am to 8pm shifts as required.
