Senior Auditor Position: Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Program Protocol and Operations Audit (40%)

The Senior Auditor at New Incentives plays a crucial role in reviewing current audit and investigation processes. Key tasks include:

  • Developing an audit and investigation plan and protocol.
  • Providing accurate assessments, thorough documentation, and insightful recommendations.
  • Evaluating staff compliance with organizational policies and program implementation guidelines.

Fraud Identification and Investigation (30%)

Ensuring compliance with both donor regulations and Nigerian laws is essential. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the implementation of conditional cash transfer interventions to ensure compliance.
  • Reviewing operations of the New Incentives – All Babies Are Equal Initiative (NI-ABAE) for adherence to regulations.
  • Conducting protocol and compliance reviews across various organizational aspects, including cash disbursement, transportation safety, stakeholder engagement, security reporting, and communication guidelines.
  • Reporting any weaknesses with clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaising with governmental agencies to obtain required approvals and documents.
  • Gathering evidence to comply with audit requirements and ensuring the internal implementation of audit recommendations.

Managerial Responsibilities (10%)
